Siendo el 2010 año Xacobeo, me parece oportuno hablar sobre el material necesario para hacer el Camino de Santiago. Cada día, es más habitual ver peregrinos con mochilas de 50 litros o superiores a sus espaldas, que parecen llevarse la casa a cuestas. Ante todo, hay que recalcar y recordar que vamos a realizar una actividad física de varios días de duración, en la cual cargaremos con un peso extra a nuestras espaldas durante cientos de kilómetros. Por eso, es necesario en la medida de lo posible dejar las cosas superfluas en casa y centrarse en lo estrictamente necesario. Aquí os dejo mi propuesta de equipaje:
- 3 pantalones transpirables. Las mallas también pueden venir muy bien para evitar posible rozaduras.
- 4 camisetas de manga corta.
- Ropa interior. 3 unidades son suficientes, una de muda y otra de emergencia.
- 4 pares de calcetines lo mas transpirables posibles.
- 1 sudadera o jersey de manga larga.
- Poncho o impermeable para la lluvia, y en caso de ir en invierno un forro polar.
- Un buen botiquín con mucha crema solar y vaselina para proteger los pies y mantenerlos siempre bien hidratados.
- Gafas de sol.
- Chancletas para la ducha.
- Toalla tipo sabana y jabón de pedazo.
- Calzado de trekking con cierto tiempo de uso. Lo nuevo siempre necesita un tiempo para hacerse al pie, lo que provocaría rozaduras que pueden provocarte volverte a casa antes de tiempo.
- Saco de dormir o según temporada sabana saco.
- Para mi algo que no puede faltar es una libreta y un bolígrafo, para plasmar tus recuerdos.
Un consejo a todos los aventureros. Salir a entrenaros unos días con el peso aproximado que vais a cargar en el trayecto, así os iréis habituando al peso. Con esto y mucha ilusión y tranquilidad llegareis al destino.
