NOT A “MEA CULPA, JUST AN EXPLANATION

Dear Friends:

Since opening the doors to our first U-51 Pro shop in San Sebastian, we have offered only leading brands whose quality in unassailable. Thanks to this strategy, our business has grown exponentially at both our locations: the maiden store initially and our present shop at Avenida de la Libertad, 1.

Our loyal customer base knows that at U-51 Pro it will find easygoing and approachable staff interested not only in selling but in seeing the customer walk away completely satisfied from whichever sporting endeavor he or she pursues, be it running, cycling or climbing. Why? Because I am a sports lover just like you. I know what it means to suffer pedaling uphill and the indescribable pleasure of pedaling down. I know what it is to hit The Wall in a marathon and, conversely, the triumphant euphoria one feels crossing the finish line.

Nobody knows it better than me, Mikel Kolino, founder and owner of U-51 Pro. I feel what you feel, I want what you want. Good service and good quality. Simple, right? Unfortunately, things are not always as easy as they seem despite our continuing efforts. For example…

Lately, we have been experiencing an increase in the number of claims and complaints owing to non-compliance of defective merchandise guarantees associated with the Assos brand. The most common product problems have been premature wear and tear, apparel discoloring and faulty zippers.

As all of you know, I have always supported the Assos brand, being as it is one of the most reputable manufacturers throughout Europe and the world. In fact, I continue to be one of the company’s major supporters and sellers. The problem, however, is that some of our more estimable customers have voiced discontent regarding the lethargic pace in honoring company guarantees.

Mistakenly, some have pointed fingers at U-51 Pro and its online shop www.mikelkolino.com, blaming us for this tardiness and that just isn’t so. Every sinner has his or her sins. Ours normally do not include undue delays or non-compliance of a product guarantee.

Therefore, I want you all to know that we will correct this blip of a misunderstanding with the aim of restoring your confidence in us and recovering the stability which has characterized our relationship over the years.
