U51 Pro and WORKCLYCLING are putting the finishing touches on their joint, first-ever Professional and Amateur Staff Sessions to prepare competitors for the upcoming La Quebrantahuesos cycling race. These “Staff” sessions are to be held 9 – 11 May, 2014 at the Huesca (Spain) location of Biescas and will be coordinated by Mikel Azparren.
The aim of the Staff Sessions is to advise and train all those persons interested in participating in the cycling event by establishing a valuable work-out schedule that will enable them to achieve the marks each person has set for themselves.
Mikel Azparren, owner of the all-time record in this competition, will share with all those in attendance the knowledge he has acquired from his multiple appearances. Additionally, he will design comprehensive training schedules to complement the seminars and physiotherapy sessions that form part of the two-day reunion.
The Staff Sessions:
Will commence the evening of Friday, 9 May, with the arrival of participants at the above-cited location. Dinner will be served at nine in the evening.
- The following day, Saturday, 10 May, (after an early breakfast at 7 a.m.), everyone heads for the La Quebrantahueseos race location, where on-site training will begin for real two hours later, at 9 a.m. Later that day, at six in the evening or so, there will be discussions hosted by Q36.5, Suunto and Orbea, covering subjects ranging from physiotherapy to sports medicine.
- On Sunday, 11 May, (again, following breakfast at 7 a.m.), there will be a final training session at Treparriscos, where preparation for the race scheduled for Saturday, 21 June will conclude.
Finally, both U51 pro and WORKCLYCLING, represented by Mikel Kolino and Mikel Azparren, will be present at the La Quebrantahuesos race at an info- stand, counseling and assisting any and all Staff participants in the period just prior to the race. Moreover, Mikel Kolino will advise stand visitors on the latest and most suitable textiles and material brands, particularly Q36.5 and Suunto.
