With the customer’s permission, I am compelled to post these photos for the simple reason that in all the years I’ve worked in this shop, never – I repeat, never – have I witnessed such an outpouring of emotion towards the Assos brand, or any brand for that matter.
The customer in question is a cyclist and a connoisseur of fine products. This unique moment occurred the same day I posted the Assos Zegno model video on Youtube. The customer had come to my shop looking for a long culotte LL607, but when he saw the Bonka model and the glasses together, he flipped out. So much so, that it made me feel great inside and reminded me of whenever I enter a shop or pass by a window display and spot something that makes my heart accelerate. It’s almost like when you get struck by a lightning bolt or fall in love for the first time, it’s indescribable. The truth is it’s nice to feel special sometimes about things, even if they are material. Forever Assos.
